I'm sure by now you've heard all the buzz about the new Florida Statute 689.302, which went into effect today, but just in case you haven't, here's the scoop!
As of October 1, 2024, Florida now requires a flood disclosure for all residential real estate sales. This new law mandates that sellers complete and provide a flood disclosure to buyers at or before the time the contract is executed. This change will impact real estate transactions, so it's important that we help our clients stay compliant.
The Florida Realtors Association has already put out a form for this requirement. Additionally, our attorney has drafted a version that we believe may be even more comprehensive. I'm attaching that form to this email for your convenience.
If you have any questions about this new requirement or would like assistance determining which form is best for your transaction, feel free to contact us. We're here to help you navigate these changes smoothly.
Let's keep our clients educated and prepared.
